Working to create a safer community
Better Brodhead coordinates several initiatives dealing with youth substance-use prevention and education. This includes education through our podcast “Clear Thinking”, campaigns such as hidden in plain sight, Reality Maze for 8th grade youth and a vaping cart. We have also provided training to law enforcement on alcohol policy, which has led to law enforcement conducting compliance checks and amended city ordinances around vaping and alcohol sales. Better Brodhead has developed a Youth 2 Youth (Y2Y) group at the local high school to provide peer to peer education on substance use prevention.
