SafeTALK Training

SafeTALK is a moderate-level, 4-hour mental health training that prepares participants to be more alert to people thinking about suicide and better be able to connect them to help.

You will learn how to reach out to someone thinking about suicide, promptly connect them to further support, and overcome personal and community attitudes that act as barriers to help.

Anyone 15+ years who is looking to build a culture of safety from suicide within their organization or community is encouraged to attend.

The training is given by certified trainers in the community who want to spread awareness on suicide prevention and make a difference in the mental health world.

What will you learn?

-how to reach out to someone thinking about suicide, promptly connect them to further support, overcome personal and community attitudes that act as barriers to help, and learn the powerful 4-step talk model.

Who should attend?

Anyone 15+ years who is looking to build a culture of safety from suicide within their organization or community.

Narcan Training flyer

Narcan Training

Join us at the Monroe Public Library on October 20th from 6-7pm for a free Narcan training. We are teaming up with Green County Human Services to provide more training and resources to the community during our opioid epidemic. You may ask, what is Narcan? Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a tool used to help treat a narcotic overdose in an emergency situation. Narcan will be provided for free at this training, and you will also receive a certificate for completing the course. Please register through the link down below

Narcan Training

Hidden In Plain Sight Fire/EMS

On May 15th, 2019 Better Brodhead and Brodhead Police Department collaborated on a Hidden In Plain Sight training for Brodhead Fire and Brodhead Area EMS personnel. This training highlighted the dangers of the “one pot method” of meth production. Instead of demonstrating a room we set up a “rolling” meth lab in the back of a vehicle. We hope to continue to provide this training in the future.

Drug Identification Training

Unfortunately we have are going to be rescheduling this training to a later date due to some circumstances. Please stay tuned for the new date, hopefully we will have that scheduled soon.
